        One way: A formfeed character is available on the Character Panel, available from the Edit menu.

          Alan Kilborn’s approach works fine, and has the obvious advantage of not requiring plugins.

          I personally prefer using the HTMLTag plugin to insert special characters like FF. In this case, since FF has ASCII code 12, with that plugin installed and Automatically decode entities enabled, you can type  and thus insert the character without needing to use a GUI.

            If you have to try to remember that, why not instead remember Alt+012 (on numeric keypad) which has worked in any Windows application for literally decades, and requires no plugins?
