One way: A formfeed character is available on the Character Panel, available from the Edit menu.

Alan Kilborn’s approach works fine, and has the obvious advantage of not requiring plugins.
I personally prefer using the HTMLTag plugin to insert special characters like
FF
. In this case, sinceFF
has ASCII code 12, with that plugin installed andAutomatically decode entities
enabled, you can type
and thus insert the character without needing to use a GUI. -
