How can I setup that when I close NotePad++ all tabs will close? Its so annoying is that when I close the program and launch it later, all the tabs remain open

In Settings > Preferences > Backup , you need to uncheck
☐ Remember current session for next launch, so that it will stop remembering which files you had open in the previous launch. -
