Pinning of files on Notepad ++

Hi Team,
After updating to new Notepad++ version, we see pinning option available on all the open files when move hover over the file. Though its a good option introduced, there is a problem with that. Since that pin option is placed closely beside the Close option for a file, it happens many times that when user attempt to close a file and by mistake clicks on pin option, say user has 100+ files open. The application is getting hanged and the pin option takes the file to the first of the list of files.
Could you please look into this and implement this pinning in a different way?

We are fellow users of Notepad++. As our FAQ clearly describes, this Forum is not the place to post feature requests if you want the developer (who makes such decisions) to see your suggestion.

Thanks for the response on the query posted.
Since I am new to this Notepad++ community I was not aware of this. Thanks for the pointers. I had a look into the FAQ link and would be using this link official bug report link for posting the same query.

Be prepared to supply some concrete ideas for change, or you’re likely to be ignored.
BTW, pinning in Notepad++ works the same as some other popular programs, so you may have a tough sell to get it changed.

The suggestion made in the issue was for a way to disable the feature, not “pinning in a different way”.
