      Hello, is there a way to disable the style when *.nfo file is opened?
      When I open *.nfo file, (but it is not for dos file, just has the same extension) notepad++ opens this file as OEM-US encoding. I want it to open as a UTF-8.
      And also affected a certain style, but I want to disable it. Just Normal Text style will be great.

      Do you have an idea?

      Summary: I want to open an *.nfo file as a normal text file

        Is that so simple? Change file extension to .txt, make as you wish, change extension to .txt again.

            Hello telk5093,

            you can edit stylers.xml and langs.xml to comment nfo specific lines.
            look for the followng lines in

            stylers.xml

            <LexerType name="nfo" desc="Dos Style" ext="">
                 <WordsStyle name="DEFAULT" styleID="32" fgColor="2E2E2E" bgColor="FFFFFF" fontStyle="0" fontSize="10" />
            </LexerType>

            langs.xml

            <Language name="nfo" ext="nfo">
            </Language>

            To comment the lines you need to select it and press strg+k which results in e.g.

            <!-- <LexerType name="nfo" desc="Dos Style" ext="">
                    <WordsStyle name="DEFAULT" styleID="32" fgColor="2E2E2E" bgColor="FFFFFF" fontStyle="0" fontSize="10" />
                </LexerType> -->

            Restart npp.

            Disadvantage, if you update npp it will overwrite your changes.

            Cheers
            Claudia
