Try this:
View >> Show Symbol, then uncheck “Show All Characters”

@Łukasz-Gry it has been reported that Snapshot/Backup functionality can cause that kind of problem.
To deactivate goto Settings->Preferences->Backup and uncheck enable session…Cheers
