URLs containing exclamation marks - Can they be made to work within Notepad++?
-
A nice feature of Notepad++ is ability to utilize clickable links.
Example: http://lederniergaulois.nouvelles-ecritures.francetv.fr/
(Copyright belongs to its creator, which is not me.)Hyperlinks embedded with an exclamation mark will only be clickable up to - but not including - the exclamation mark.
(yes, Settings>Preferences…>MISC.>Clickable Links Settings>Enabled is fine)Let’s say I have this link in my .TXT object in Notepad++ (minus quotation marks, of course):
“http://lederniergaulois.nouvelles-ecritures.francetv.fr/#!/episode1”Double-clicking it will only send “http://lederniergaulois.nouvelles-ecritures.francetv.fr/#” to the browser. Notice the “!/episode1” was dropped.
My temporary method is to copy and paste all these links (Episodes 1 through 6) into an M$ documant or spreadsheet, thereby click the links there; else copy and paste the link(s) manually into the browser.
Is there any solutions, plugins, feature requests or other suggestions around addressing this?
Thanks so much for your feedback. Have a great week!

Hello @Cow-Bovine,
you are right, the reason is that the exclamation mark is missing in the allowed chars I guess this has been historical reasons.
I will create an issue and ask for adding the exclamation mark.Cheers
