User defined language not showing up in Preferences - New Document - Default Language?

I want to use my user-defined language in Notepad++ new document:

But it doesn’t show my user defined language in the dropdown menu.

Hello @Fields-Barley,

you are correct, from the dialog this isn’t possible.
I described here a way what is needed to make this working.
