      In previous versions when I opened a group of files, they were opened and displayed in alphabetical order. In this new version, they seem to be opened randomly, which makes it difficult to keep track of which files I’ve already opened and edited when carrying out bulk changes on html files. I’ve looked through settings and can’t find anywhere to set how the tabs should be ‘organised’. Is there any way of setting thefiles to be opned alphabetically again?

        I could never get the tabs under control to my liking, so I started using the Window Manager plug-in to track my open files (and hide the tabs). With the plug-in I can view the open files sorted by name, file extension, or path.

          @Jim-Dailey

          Where do I obtain this plugin from please?

          I cannot find it on the list of Notepad++ Plugins of the Plugin Manager of the Plugins menu.

          Regards,

              Hello Carol,

              Just click to my post to ColinsForum, two days ago :

              https://notepad-plus-plus.org/community/topic/11918/arrangement-of-multi-line-tabs-in-alphabetic-order/2

              You can skip the first part, if you don’t care to backup the present order of your tabs :-))

              Enjoy N++,

              Best Regards,

              guy038
