Multi instances

Hi,
This is not a new topic but I haven’t found the answer I need.
I would like to run 2 independent instances of Notepad++, one for each of 2 projects.
On start up I want each instance to retain the files I last used for that project only.
I tried the multiInst approach but the files I open in the 2nd instance are not retained.
I guess I really need 2 shortcut icons, one for each instance, but I’m not sure how to do this, or if it is even possible.
Any help, greatly appreciated.Ron

Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit?
