Get rid of grey areas

How do i get rid of the grey side and the grey line in the notepad as shown in this picture? also when i type there are flashing boxes? like wtf is that? how do i turn it off?

Settings > Preferences > Editingturn off:- Display Line Number
- Display Bookmark
- Enable current line highlighting
- Set Folder Margin Style to
None
Not sure what the “flashing boxes” are. Maybe auto-complete. That can be turned off as well in the preferences.
