Closing a tab in 6.9.2 opens Skype

I am running Notepad++ 6.9.2 on 64-bit Windows 7. If I have Skype 7.26.0.101 running (iconized in the lower-right toolbar), whenever I close a tab in Notepad++ (click the X in the tab of the text file window that I want to close), the Skype desktop GUI opens. I must RMB on the Skype icon in the taskbar and select Skype before I can then close Skype from within its GUI. How do I stop Skype from automatically opening whenever I close a tab in Notepad++ ??

To clarify, this undesired Skype behavior occurs whenever I close a tabbed window in Notepad++ via clicking on the smaller-X (pulldown menu pick row) in the upper-right corner of the Notepad++ GUI window.

can you start npp with -noPlugin switch to see if it still happens?
I’m on the same configuration and don’t have that problem.

Thank you Claudia. Adding -noPlugin switch to Start menu shortcut icon for NotePad++ seems to have fixed the problem of Skype launching. Thanks again.
