Line settings

New to Notepad++. Any way to set a maximum length of a line? Like 45, 60, or 80?

Yep,
go in preferences/Editing/ Verrical edge settings.
It will display a line or use a different background color after the edge (default 100 char)

That’s not the same as having a hard-limit like the OP is asking for, but it helps! :)
