    Is there a way to see what language Notepad++ is currently using?

    I open many new files for testing and editing and often change the language. I have many open at a time and don’t always remember what the language is that I’ve changed them to.

    How can I check what the currently set language is?

        @Michael-Mcnair

        in case there isn’t a statusbar,
        check your settings
        settings->preferences->general->show status bar

        Cheers
