gpup.exe requires administrator privileges
-
I just wanted to install an addon, but it told me that the addon manger is outdated and should to be updated. When i pressed ok a uac popup came tellming me that gpup.exe requires administrator privileges to do that. However this doesn’t make sense to me as ‘installing’ notepad++ (e.g unpacking the npp.bin.zip to some usb stick) didn’t require administrotor privileges eigher. I could of course just re download the notepad zip file (since newer notepad++ version sureley comes with an updated plugin manager), and migrate all my settings to that new installation but might be quite some work since i don’'t know exactly which configuration files are compatible with a newer notepad++ version.
So i wonder whether there is some way to update the plugin manager without admin privilieges, does anyone know?

See https://htmlpreview.github.io/?https://github.com/bruderstein/nppPluginManager/blob/master/doc/index.html#install
, unfortunately still version 1.3.5 is bundled with n++ 7.3.1 instead of current 1.4.3 of PM which causes some troubles.
