Is 7.31 Compatible With Win XP?

I got a message during an update check that the updater is not. Is the program itself still compatible? If so, should I use the zip version rather than the install version?

If https://github.com/gup4win/wingup/blob/master/vcproj/GUP.vcxproj is used, probably the updater is compatible with win xp. Would need a change of the toolset from v120 -> v120_xp.
