      I do not need any proxy to access internet.
      How to “auto-update” notepad++ in this scenario (without proxy).

          Thanks for replying.

          Having not defined any proxy settings, if i try to auto-update getting this error -
          “Failed to connect to notepad-plus-plus.org port 443: Timed out”

              Destination host unreachable.

              This is the tracert report.
              But, can open https://notepad-plus-plus.org/ in browser.

                Could it be that you have multiple network cards in your pc?
                Maybe virtual ones? Can you be sure that tracert uses the correct interface?
