Updates for N++ reverts plug-in manager to previous version
-
I just upgraded to N++ v7.3.3 and once again I’ve had to re-update the plug-in manager and also the NppFTP plug-in. In case it matters I’m using the installer with the “/S” and it’s happened with at least the last two or three releases.
Any reason the installer is putting back an older version of these components?

This is in the responsibility of the n++ maintainer.
@Don-HO Do you consider to update to at least PluginManager 1.4.3 (see also announcement https://notepad-plus-plus.org/community/topic/12483/new-version-of-plugin-manager-for-testing/38, see also issues caused by the older version 1.3.5 of PluginManager https://notepad-plus-plus.org/community/topic/12799/notepad-v7-2-1-crashes-due-to-plugin-updater-gpup-exe/9)PS: 1.4.4 is available as pre-release with x64 support on the client side and @Dave-Brotherstone is working on the server update, with quite some tasks open, see https://github.com/bruderstein/npppm3/issues.

NppFTP should not be affected by this, do you have any further information on that issue. To which version is it going back?

Apologies, I never got alerts for this being replied to for some reason, but as I saw that N++ v7.4 and now v7.4.1 both still revert the plug-manager back v1.3.5 I would come and check.
The NppFTP seems to be fine though so not sure what happened.
