open file shown in find results

if i search “Find in files…” and get multiple file hits, how do I open just one of the files?
there is a right-click option to open “all” files.
double clicking on the file expands/contracts the line hit data–not what I was looking for.

Trying it myself, I suspect you are double-clicking on the filename line (like you said, but I wasn’t sure you really meant it). Try double-clicking the individual lines in the “line hit data”–they all start with
Line XXX:and contain your highlighted search text. That should work. -
