Fonts' lowercase higher than uppercase letters

Changed fonts without joy. Fonts on Win7 display lowercase has a greater height(pixels?) than uppercase. Uppercase ‘D’ is lower than ‘d’. Looks weird, tricks my sight. Tried the different menus without luck.

Preferences
Global font changes
Language Styler
Language = MS-DOS or Normal Text

Do I have to edit an XML config file?
What’s the sequence or chain of events I have to configure?

[BTW: Why are Posting buttons always labeled “Submit”? Are you a government agency? ]
