      Hi All,
      I’ve been randomly having a problem with moving cells in Excel for a while now.
      Turns out it only happens when I have Notepad++ open.
      The exact error in Excel 2013 is “We couldn’t free up space on the Clipboard. Another program might be using it right now.”
      It still moves the contents of the cell, it just pops up a dialog with the error message every time which gets very annoying.
      It also happened in Excel 2007 only the error message was a bit more cryptic.

      Is Notepad++ doing something funny with the clipboard? Can I disable that function?
      I tried disabling all the plugins by closing Notepad++, moving everything out of the plugins directory, then starting again. Same result, I still get the problem in Excel.

      Notepad++ is my favourite text editor and I’d hate to have to try and find another one?
      Is it constantly monitoring the contents of my clipboard? Why?

      NP++ version 6.5

          I fixed some clipboard bugs a few release back, so try the latest version and see if the problem still exists.
