Session File Corrupted or Invalid Error

I’m getting the “Session File is corrupt or not valid” error message, however, it’s not my files as I have opened the files in other editors and they have opened perfectly. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled NPP but the error persists. I’m now unable to open any files at all using NPP, the only file that has worked was the change log that opens after install/update. Is there anything I can do to fix it? Or is this a software programming issue?

Use the File -> Load session to find out which file it loads, without loading it. It opens the “open file” window.
Then close NPP and rename the file and open NPP again.
This might work. If it does, delete the renamed file.
