Can't log into local server with NppFTP plugin

Hello
I’m rather new to programming, I have been convinced to practice at home before I go out into the big world. I’m using Wanp64 as a local host wth wordpress loaded on a few projects on my Cdrive, I have tried in as many ways as I can to connect my NP++ to my local server via the NppFTP plugin but, it repeatedly tells me “Disconnected”.
what am I doing wrong

well it could be a lot of things, like you misspelled the hostname or ip address,
chose the wrong port, used the wrong protocol, wrong user or password …
But without having more details how your server is setup and what you did,
we hardly can say what the problem is.Afair, NppFTP has a function to show a log - this should give you more details about
what is going wrong.Cheers

Additionally for nppFTP of interest:
- version of the plugin you use
- which protocoll FTP, SFTP, FTPES, FTPS
- you could use e.g. https://test.rebex.net/ or some public ftp server for testing how the plugin should work.
