Replace with breakline
I’ve got a lot of xml files that look like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
But there are some that dont have the
<PARCELLEGALAREA>tag. So I want to add a closed
<PARCELLEGALAREA />tag where is needed.
Ive used the Extended search mode, on “Find what” I went with
</MEASUREDAREA>\r\n <ISNEW>/ on “Replace with”
</MEASUREDAREA>\r\n <PARCELLEGALAREA />\r\n <ISNEW>
This does the job , if I oppen the modifyed files with notepadd it looks ok, but if I try to oppen with any of my xml programs
Input String was not in a correct format.or
Error System.FormatException / Input String was not in a correct format.
Found out that if I do the replace on a txt file and then change the extension to xml , then it works like a charm.
or not… it just didnt replace the file…
