M$ Surface RT and Notepad++

Hey all. I have a Microsoft Surface RT that my brother gave me when he picked up a newer Surface Pro 4. I’m trying to use it to do some CNC machine code editing, but honestly standard Notepad just isn’t remotely good enough after exclusively using Notepad++ on my desktop for several years. The problem is I can’t just install Notepad++ on the Surface RT because it’s running Windows RT, not Windows 8 or 8.1; normal Windows programs can’t be run in Windows RT (because M$ said so). My question is this: Does anyone know of either a way to run normal Windows programs in RT; failing that, does anyone know of a good Notepad++ copycat app from the Windows store?
