So, I’m running the Compare plugin and have two files open side by side. Let’s say I select a line in either document. I then scroll the document horizontally (to see the differences) and select something on the same line. This works fine. However, when I select something on a different line, N++ jumps my view to the start of the line! As you can surely understand, this is very frustrating and makes editing insufferable. However, it may be user error, because I’m not very experienced with the program. I tried to look through the settings, but found nothing I thought was relevant. Anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance. e: I have about 7000 lines I need to go through, so I really need help :D

      Hi @Aleksi-Kolehmainen ,

It is not related to Notepad++ itself but to the Compare plugin (which manipulates the alignment synchronization between compared files).
What Compare plugin version are you using?

Hi Pavel, thanks for answering. I am using 2.0.0 of the plugin.

          Hi @Aleksi-Kolehmainen ,

I’ll look into this and see if it is appropriate to be fixed in the next plugin version.
Meanwhile there is nothing you can do except enabling Notepad++'s Word wrap.

Thanks! I did manage to figure out the word wrap solution on my own, even as I am a dummy. Looking forward to the next release! :)
