Help: Lost all unsaved files, where could they be?

Hi,

I use Notepad++ to keep various lists of tasks. I prefer it over notepad because in the case of a crash or forced reboot, I (usually!!) do not lose the data that was in unsaved files.

Just a few minutes ago I installed the latest Windows update and, after the reboot, it seems none of my 16+ files were still there. They are not in the “recently closed” since those were all unsaved files, but usually I do not lose that data - it’s been working for years.

Where could those temp files be? I hope there is a way to recover them…
