      Whenever UDL file types are open, I want to apply a different bgcolor with configured style.

      for example,
      In case that I use some theme, HTML file is open with WHITE bgcolor. On the other hand, when I open UDL(my custome) files, i’d like it to open with BLACK bgcolor.

      I tried modifying “userDefineLang.xml” and changed bgcolor at the “<WordsStyle name=“DEFAULT” fgColor=“000000” bgColor=“FFFFFF” …>”. Howerver only words got changed.

      Could it be possible to differently apply by using “userDefineLang.xml”?

      And it’s possible to ues “StyleID” in userDefineLang.xml??

          <Styles>
              <WordsStyle name="DEFAULT" fgColor="000000" bgColor="FFFFFF" fontName="" fontStyle="0" nesting="0" />
              <WordsStyle name="COMMENTS" fgColor="000000" bgColor="FFFFFF" fontName="" fontStyle="0" nesting="0" />
              <WordsStyle name="LINE COMMENTS" fgColor="000000" bgColor="FFFFFF" fontName="" fontStyle="0" nesting="0" />

        In the userdefinelang.xml do you see the global styles block? Have you tried changing those? I did a global style change to the default notepad++ configuration just to test it out and in my attached image you can see “C0C0C0” was the hex value that changed in the xml.
