My number are symbols ?

so an example it, when I type the number 7 in notepad, shows up as an airplane and 8 has no physical character it’s just a blank space.

might be an issue that your font is broken/corrupt.
What if you choose a different one?Settings->Style Configurator->Global Styles->Global override
check enable global font and try one of the fonts in the font style dropdown list.
In addition, some notebooks offer additional function keys, might it be that you activated this accidentally?
