    Filter open dialog file list using wildcards now just opens all files with that wildcard.

      I’ve used Notepad++ for many years and I always found usefull the ability to filter the file list in the open file dialog box by entering a wildcard. After one of the relatively recent updates to Notepad++ it now just opens ALL files that match that wildcard. It’s a little frustrating as it’s now harder to get to the file I want to open and I have to close upmteen files that match the wildcard.

      Is there an alternative way to filter the open file dialog box using a wildcard?

        Wow, I never noticed that behavior–that really is ultra-annoying!

        In Settings (menu) choose Preferences…, then tick the indicated checkbox:
