Up to version 7.5.8 text files could be opened by double-click in the file explorer.
With version 7.5.9 and 7.6 I receive an error message that the file does not exist.
I have created a file “F:\Test NPP\Text Document with Blanks.txt”. Double-click provides a message wether I want to open 1222 files? And then 4 messages that the file does not exist and wether it should be created.

Could somebody restore the old behaviour from versions below 7.5.9?
      Thanks
      Thomas

        see https://notepad-plus-plus.org/community/topic/16687/build-7-6-open-with-association-does-not-open-files-with-spaces-in-filenames/2

Your file association doesn’t have the quotes around the filename argument

Thanks. I knew that this is caused by the qoutes.
Now I know where to fix it (manually).
But wouldn’t that be an issue for the setup of npp?

It would make sense for Notepad++ to properly set the association when installed.

This FAQ shows where to go to post a new bug report or feature request. I suggest searching the existing issues before submitting a new one – if the request already exists, just add your confirmation or additional data to the existing ticket rather than creating your own.
