Highlight brace after caret instead of before

If the caret/cursor is located between two brace characters, e.g. “((”, the editor highlights the brace before the caret.
Is there a way to configure it to highlight the brace after the caret ? This is the default behavior in most other apps that have brace matching/highlighting.
