Unable to save file in notepad++ in windows 10.

“File cannot be saved and it may be protected . Open in administrator mode” message is appearing when I am trying to save the file.
Working like this for all the versions.

Could it be that you try to save a file which needs administrative elevation but npp isn’t started in admin mode?
What exactly (asking for reproducible steps) are you doing and which notepad++ version are you using?Eko

I occasionally see this message, seems fairly random but maybe there is an underlying reason? Dismissing the popup box and attempting to save again usually proceeds with no more problem. So, I dunno…
