Has someone developed a timestamp utility that works like the Microsoft Notepad facilities:

1.) First line of a text file contains just exactly .LOG
-Every time the file is opened a timestamp like CRLF 9:22 AM 2/13/2019 CRLF is appended to the file.

2.) When the F5 key is pressed a timestamp like 9:22 AM 2/13/2019 is appended to the current line, no CRLFs.

I know F5 is in use.

      TIA

Thanks, some good leads there and I don’t think I would’ve found them otherwise.
