Q: The only way to associate files in Windows 7 is to run Notepad++ with Admin privileges?

I thin the topic title is self explaining. I’m running Windows 7 (64-bit, if this matters) with Notepad++ 64-bit. I read some topics here related to file association issues.
My question is if it is the only way to associate files via Notepad++ Settings, is to run Notepad++ with Admin privileges?
