      @Meta-Chuh

      the compareplus plugin is not released yet, this is just a test build from his project.
      https://github.com/pnedev/compare-plugin/commits/master
      i don’t know when it will be released.

      I tested this plugin, when comparing files this plugin freezes for 1-2 minutes!

        Проверьте в корневой папке NPP++ есть ли файл python27.dll

          i’m not involved in the development of compare and compareplus.
          please verify if this freeze happens on compare 2.0 as well and file an issue with everything you know at:

            Hi guys,

            Thanks @Meta-Chuh :)

            @andrecool-68 ,

            Could you please share the files you are comparing using ComparePlus if they are not confidential and test them also with Compare v2.0 to see if it also freezes? You can as well file an issue at the project link as Meta-Chuh suggested.
            Thanks a lot.

            P.S. Sorry for the OFF-topic.

            BR

              These were the XML language files of Notepad++

                @andrecool-68 ,

                Thank you.
                Which files exactly? I don’t have auto-completion files installed with my Notepad++ and I also don’t keep different language files.

                Have you tried with Compare v2 ?

                BR

                  @andrecool-68 ,

                  OK, got it.
                  Different localization files. Compare v2 is significantly faster.
                  Thanks.

                    The old version of the plugin works without freezes!

                      I have never known something be so difficult to install. An hour later and I give up, I’ve followed all the instructions to the letter. For what’s meant to be a lightweight editor suitable for beginners, this sucks - and I’m no beginner.

                      If someone wants to put me out of my misery just tell me what the file structure should look like when I’m done and I can probably work out the rest.

                        Is Notepad++ really billed as such? I think it might be great for beginners that just want to do some basic text editing, but using the Emmet plugin is hardly that.

                        I’ve followed all the instructions to the letter

                        And somewhere in there something didn’t work for you. But, without more than that, no one will be able to assist.

                          After you have successfully installed Package Control, open Command Palette by pressing CTRL + SHIFT + P or going to Tools > Command Palette… Type install and click on Package Control: Install Package. After loading type Emmet in the search bar and click on Emmet

                              In my case Emmet worked as soon as I moved EmmetNPP.dll from emmet-npp.zip to Notepad++plugins/EmmetNPP and restarted Notepad++, as described >>> here <<<. Hope this helps!

                              My specs:
                              Notepad++ v7.8.4 (32-bit)
                              Python Script v1.5.3
                              Emmet v1.0.2
