User-defined syntax problem - conclusion and closure

I’ve finally arrived somewhere that I’m fairly certain I have narrowed down the issue and I’m walking away, I have other things to do.
I have tested and this issue does NOT arise in Notepad 7.6. I have not tested intermediate versions between 7.6 and 7.6.6 where the corruption of the UDL occurs.
I now have installed N++ 7.6, my UDL syntax is clean, and error free and I can get on with my life. I’m just going to turn off the update notifications and get on with my life.
Thank you all so much for the attention and advice given here. It is much appreciated. I;ll probably back at some future time with a “how-to” type question, but until then… “Sayonara”

loool, same thought … maybe @Karsten75 is a bit agitated and exhausted after so many tryouts and posts in such a short time, that he wanted to vent and post a short, readable statement with a new title ?
