Docking issue

@Sai Bhagavan Gupta Korada
Can be mounted on any side -
Let me describe my issue again.
I would like to dock my “Doc Switcher” right side of my document instead of left side.
-
Ach, I thought I had it in my links above, but I don’t; embedded in the following is, by @guy038 and Eko, the “ultimate” guide to docking in Notepad++:
BTW, you may not find (or be given) your exact answer…you may have to extrapolate out from others’ experiences with very similar things to do exactly what you need.

Did you look at the animation provided? He shows it docking left, then top, then right, and then bottom: if you want it on the right, drag it to the right to dock.

To be fair to the OP, the animation is simply bad. It doesn’t show the how it just shows that it can be done, and even that is in a confusing manner.
-
Yes the animation didn’t explain how to do. I would expect someone to explain how it can be done?

Yes the animation didn’t explain how to do.
But in his previous post, @andrecool-68 did explain how – it was in his normally terse manner, but he had also explained with words. If I didn’t already know how to do the docking, I would like to think I could have figured it out from his words plus his animation.

Nobody has hit on the big issue yet (and maybe won’t). Just what the heck is the Doc Switcher anyway? In the Preferences the Document Switcher is the Ctrl+Tab feature! The panel that has Doc Switcher in its title is referred to in the Preferences as the Document List Panel. …and there is a raging debate going on right now about how bad the user interface is because it uses
?
insted ofHelp
on the main menu bar. This Doc Switcher thing is way more confusing for noobs than that! -
So maybe we’ve tortured the OP enough already. (Although I sense that the OP doesn’t want to read anything or put any effort into anything, and rather simply wants to be spoon fed his exact answer).
Commence spoon-feeding, I’ve endeavored here to show the drag and drop action required to do what the OP wants. At the point the yellow circle disappears is where I release the mouse, completing the drag. (Hopefully the previous was not too much reading to do)

@Alan-Kilborn
I tried different programs, quality video dragging windows fails -
the draw border artefacts, when dragging a dockable window, while screen recording you both see, is a known glitch.
note: while it is only visible at screen recordings for almost all users, it seems to happen without recording for a little amount of users, on certain graphics adapters/drivers.
-
Thank you so much it is working absolutely fine.

Columbia Pictures … new season -
i believe paramount or 20th century fox would have been a better choice, as the name columbia still has a bad memory for me, but please tell me your secret how you got rid of the drag border artefacts while screen recording.
ps: you are the most tech savvy house builder i have ever encountered 😃👍
