Notepad++ will not open any file

Right click,open with,choose Notepad++ = nothing happens
Happens with any file.

If Notepad++ is open I can drop the file into it and it reads it fine.

Using the zipped version 7.7 x64 win7

have you checked that your registry entries are correct?
If you are using the zipped version, how did you register the shell extension?
