Cyrillic characters do not display correctly when entering text in ANSI encoding in version 7.7
-
In version 7.6.6, when entering text, everything is displayed correctly. When you open any file with ANSI encoding, the Cyrillic characters are displayed correctly, everything works. I use windows 10.
After upgrading to version 7.7, when you enter text in a file with ANSI encoding, a “?” Appears in place of all Russian Cyrillic characters. But if the file already contains Cyrillic characters, these characters are displayed normally, but “?” Will still appear when entering text.
When you roll back to version 7.6.6, everything is displayed correctly and the text is entered correctly.
What is the problem? Should I wait for the fix of this bug or roll back and disable updates? ANSI is used in Windows configuration files, so it makes no sense for me to switch to UTF-8.

Скачать обновленный файл “SciLexer.dll”

I downloaded the second file “SciLexer64.signed.dll”, because I have a 64 bit version of the editor, renamed it to “SciLexer.dll” and copied it with a replacement in “C: \ Program Files \ Notepad ++”. It all worked.
The second file for the 32-bit system cannot be downloaded, writes “Error 503 Backend fetch failed”.
Thanks for the link, I hope the developers will fix this bug.
