I would like to add a set of keywords, specific to the R shiny package, that would trigger code folding. Is there a way to add these to the langs.model.xml file?

no, the R lexer doesn’t seem to have such functionality. Indeed, I’m not aware of any lexer providing something like this.

Is there a way to export the default R tokens? Those could then be imported as a User Defined Language which does give me the control to add folding options.

not exactly as an export/import action but as copy/paste for keywords.
The keywords are listed in the langs.xml.
