"Monitoring tail -f" does NOT work; No auto-refresh and no auto-jump to end of file
-
I started a chkdsk run (on an external partition) and redirected the output to a *.txt logfile on my partition D:
I opened this logfile after chkdisk start (during (long) run) in NP++ (on 64bit Win7) as a new tab.
After that I enabled the menu
View—>Monitoring (tail -f)
and expected a frequent auto-refresh and a auto-jump to the end of the file.
But nothing happened.
Why?
I think its a bug
When I press F5 then I can see new lines but I have to manually scroll to the end.
How can I really let NP++ auto-refresh and auto-scroll to the end?
At which frequency should an auto-refresh happen?
Can I adjust the frequency (e.g. every 20 seconds)? -
Monitor (tail -f) prompts to reload file
Try a different tool (some users are using glogg or TailSharp).
