I’ve been using ‘New Instance’ a few times recently as I’m editing a file with a lot of copying from an existing source file.

I’ve found what appears to be a couple of bugs with this. Firstly, when you move a file to a new instance, it doesn’t auto-detect the language, you need to select it manually.

Worse, however, is that auto-save / backup doesn’t appear to work for files moved to a new instance. My computer crashed for some reason but there were no backups at all of the file I was working on, meaning I’d lost about 20 minutes work.

Is this a known bug and is there any way around it, aside from being more diligent in pressing the save button?
