I’m importing an Excel 2016 PRN file into Notepad++ and I keep getting a “CRLF” mid-way through each line in the file. It looks like Notepad++ is putting the carriage return/line feed in because the records are too long (280 characters) but it’s worked before and I’m getting the CR/LF at 158 characters. I have the process working fine with records of 213 characters in length and no CR/LF is appearing.

You aren’t “importing”, you are simply opening a file. Notepad++ isn’t doing anything to your file; whatever you are seeing is whatever is there already. Suggest you understand your data/process better…
