Horizontal two finger swipe to move the cursor? (TouchPad)
-
This might belong to feature requests but I haven’t used this app long enough so I thought I’d post this here first. I know I can like move one of my thumb around a little to move my mouse cursor and tap on the word to move my input cursor. But when I have to move my input cursor a few words away, two finger swipe would be a great bonus. That way I don’t have to move my actual mouse cursor(the pointer?) away from the word again beause it wouldn’t block my vision. I’m not sure if I can do that with Notepad++.
If you have the iPad with the latest version of iOS, you’d know what I’m talking about here. You can drag and drop your cursor directly with your finger, or you can scroll through your virtual keyboard with two fingers to do that. What I prefer is the latter one because it doesn’t interrupt my vision. Hope I’m making sense here.
- I suppose you might need to enable Wordwrap first? Since horizontal two finger swipe normally works as a horizontal scrolling. When Wordwrap is enabled, I don’t think horizontal two finger swipe action does anything.

So you are using MS Surface?
Is this feature available for other apps, if so which one? -
@Ekopalypse No I am using generic HP notebook with a built-in ‘precision touchpad.’ And I’m afraid I don’t know if any other Win10 apps have this function. I was just using an iPad and thought it would be cool to have this kind of function in Notepad++ since you know, iPad’s touchscreen and the notebook’s Touchpad works in a very similar way.
