    Hello,
NPP tells me that there is an update available but when I try to install it I get the following error:

    Unsupported 16-Bit Application
The program or feature “??\C:\Users\MyUserID\AppData\local\Temp\npp.7.8.2.Installerr.x64.exe” cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit Windows compatible version is available.

I am running Windows 10 Pro V.1909 build 18363.535, a 64-bit OS on an x64-based processor. I have not previously had a problem updating NPP. I would be grateful for any helpful suggestions.

    Thanks,
    Frowie

Could it be that it was an incomplete download?
In addition, which npp version do you currently run?
Can you post the debug-info? (available from the last menu item, the ? menu)
What confuses me is the second r in the following string
      “??\C:\Users\MyUserID\AppData\local\Temp\npp.7.8.2.Installerr.x64.exe”

Gotta be a typo; the OP must have retyped the contents of a message box, and got it wrong. BTW, I’ve noticed that a lot of the message boxes in N++ have a hidden ctrl+c copy capability. Probably the the OP’s message box wasn’t one of these.
