      Hi. I tried to run notepad++ as a service in windows 2012 R2 and in Windows 10. And in both situation I got an error:
      “error 1053 the service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion”.

      I surfed over the internet and all ideas doesn’t work.

      So my question is mentions in the subject ;)

        @Lukasz-Ols

        because npp is not written to be a service.
        If you want to have it act like this you need to wrap
        it with some kind of proxy-service.
        If it is all about having npp run on startup, put it into the autostart folder?
