Where does autoupdator stores download install file?

When I started npp, it gave the periodic message that new version is available, etc. I clicked to download and install and closed npp.
It downloaded entire file, but it didn’t update.
I am still having previous version, and now it doesn’t even show that above autoupdator prompt.Where did it store the downloaded installation file so that I can manually run that, instead of downloading the entire huge package again.
Why didn’t it install automatically? Previously it did all things withougt any problem?

I just want to now the w-10-64 bit folder name where npp autoupdator stroes the downloaded installation file?
It download 7.8.5 but didn’t update somehow, I am still having npp 7.8.4, so that downloaded installation must be lying somewhere in my harddisk.
