      When I start NP++ always a popup appears:

      “An update package is available, do you want to download it”

      I am not sure if core NP++ is meant. I doubt since I use the newest v7.8.5
      So it must be a plugin. Which plugin triggers this popup notification?

      How can I prevent all such popups in future?

        I thought this comes from npp, to be more precise, from gup.exe.
        In order to disable this message you have to uncheck
        settings->preferences->MISC.->Enable notepad++ auto-updater
