Automatic file extension
-
Hi there,
if I create a new (text) file and save it, there is no file extension at all. I would want to default this to “.txt”, for I edit mainly Text files with N++. (How) can I configure N++ for that behaviour?
Thanks for your kind help,
Goetz (from Germany) -

Fine. No one else stepped up.
I did steal @Ekopalypse 's image to make it easier. :-)

@PeterJones
you are allowed to steal from my posts whatever you want - I don’t call the police :-D -

Because you do it so much better than anyone else. :-)

@Ekopalypse Correct, I’m from Mannheim (but this is not so far from Jagsthausen, where Goetz von Berlichingen lived, ;-))

Thanks to all, you’re so kind!
